SUMMARY:Introduction to Low Sugar Canning
DESCRIPTION:In this class you will learn to water-bath and steam-can jams and jellies using Pomona’s Pectin and a fraction of the sugar of normal recipes. We will also be making a sugar-free applesauce.\nDuring an informative presentation at the beginning of the class, Cinda will share with you important techniques for safe canning. Then we move to the kitchen for the hands-on portion where you will be guided in the canning process while we make two different recipes. Each person attending will take home and enjoy a some of what they helped make.\nEach class is limited to 6 participants. Please plan to pay ($60/person, cash, check or charge) when you arrive at the class. Bring your own apron or use one of ours. Closed toe shoes are highly recommended.\n \n
