Intro to Pickling
In this class you will learn to water-bath and steam-can two different pickle products.
During an informative presentation at the beginning of the class, Cinda will share with you important techniques so you can safely preserve using either water-bath and steam canning techniques. Then we move to the kitchen for the hands-on portion where you will be guided in making and canning both traditional Dill Spears and some delicious Bread and Butter slices. Each person attending will take home and enjoy a jar of each of the different pickles they helped make.
Each class is limited to 6 participants. Please plan to pay ($60/person, cash, check or charge) when you arrive at the class. Bring your own apron or use one of ours. Closed toe shoes are highly recommended.
