Introduction to Salsa Canning
In this class you will learn to water-bath and steam-can salsa from locally-grown produce.
During an informative presentation at the beginning of the class, Cinda will share with you important techniques so you can safely preserve using either water-bath or steam canning techniques. Then we move to the kitchen for the hands-on portion where you will be guided in the canning process while we make two different recipes. Each person attending will take home and enjoy some of what they helped make.
Each class is limited to 6 participants. Please plan to pay ($60/person, cash, check or charge) when you arrive at the class. Bring your own apron or use one of ours. Please plan to wear comfortable clothes and closed toe shoes.
